The official Diehard Dungeon blog

Version 1.2 is Live!

v1.2 is now available to download.

Here’s a short trailer that features a few of the new additions:

I hope you enjoy the update!

Stay tuned  for v1.3. It will be released much quicker as it will contain mostly game balance changes and optimizations ( a couple of new additions will probably sneak their way in to 😉 )

What a game changing patch! Added in Music and Sound effect volumes that stay between sessions. Blood particles look GREAT! The edges of the dungeon now have your own cool style rather than mimicking older games too! Maybe it’s just me, but the controls also feel a touch more responsive due to some sort of optimization. You’ve really outdone yourself and set a pretty high standard with this one!

    • Thanks Gigs, I really appreciate the kind feedback! Almost everything in the game received some sort of tweak for patch, so there are a lot of changes that I didn’t mention in the patch notes.

Love the patch! all the new music is super-creepy! the new abilities are amazing. graphically even more polish. no more red blobs when u grab the key. no more 3 vs. 1 maze game. all the frustration is gone! & in its place… more difficulty. Yaaaaay! lol seriously though all the crazy new enemies present way more of a challenge(which is good.) just an amazing patch. so many surprises. thank u for pouring so much more awesomeness into the Dungeon! look fwd to V 1.3!!!

    • Thanks Anodyne, you’re very welcome! I’m glad you like the new additions and changes. The red blobs were a major annoyance to most people, so that was an easy choice to remove them. There are some changes I’m planning for v1.3 to the way enemies collide with each other. Small enemies will no longer be able to block larger enemies from moving and will be shoved out of the way. Also, when you hit one enemy into another, the force will be transferred resulting in both enemies being pushed back. I think it will make a very big impact to the feel of the game and reduce the number of frustrating situations further 🙂

    • Hi Dylan, thanks, and sorry for the slow reply. Diehard Dungeon is currently available to download for the Xbox 360 from the Xbox Live Indie Game marketplace, and for the PC within the next few weeks. I’ll update this blog with all of the details regarding the PC release closer to the time.
